My online behavior

Use e-mail carefully

Be careful to open attachments or click links, also from people you know. Do not send personal or sensitive email information unencrypted. Double-check the recipient address when sending email.

Imagine when you are online

When on a wireless network, anyone else on that network can see what you do. Do not send sensitive information about an unencrypted link, but use https. Before clicking on a link, make sure it leads to the correct address. Be aware of what you share with others.

Keep sensitive information on-line

Use encrypted communication if possible. Send links with access control instead of attachments. Sensitive personal information and social security number must always be encrypted. For example, you can add sensitive information to a password-protected document and send the password to SMS. Also do not post sensitive information on social media.

Use credit cards

Use credit cards (such as MasterCard) with online payment - you may claim to return your money by fraud.
